Course content
This course covers the provisioning, operation, maintenance and basic
troubleshooting of the Cisco PGW2200 in its Call Control mode of operation. Individual features covered include
the PGW in its role of: VoIP Packet Transit, H.323 Signaling Interface (HSI), PSTN-SIP gateway, MGCP-Dial termination
and TDM-TDM hairpinning. Participants learn by doing during lab sessions. With step-by-step instructions,
participants use VSPT to create a configuration that includes the above features.
It should be noted that this course does not include configuration deployment.
Course Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
Define Cisco Open Packet Telephony (OPT) architecture.
Describe the Cisco PSTN Gateway Solution.
Identify solution hardware and software components.
Identify and define features of Cisco MGX8850 with VISM.
Define Cisco SLT functionality.
Provision Cisco PGW2200, and VISM gateway (VSPT generated not 8850 CLI).
Provision Number Analysis (Dial Plans).
Configure Cisco SLT.
Use MML to control the Cisco PGW2200.
Identify basic solution troubleshooting tools.
